Max Edwin Bartgis, 74, of Hedgesville, W.Va., died Wednesday, April 6, 2011, at his residence. The family will receive friends Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Martinsburg, W.Va. The service will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. L. Jack Rudy officiating. Burial will be held at a later date in Jones Spring Cemetery.
