Tuesday traffic update: Two taken to hospital after crash

Traffic updates from Mobile Reporter Caleb Calhoun:

11:26 a.m.: Both drivers were taken to Meritus Medical Center following a two-vehicle, head-on crash at the intersection of Dual Highway and Edgewood Drive. The extent of their injuries was unknown.

A Washington County Emergency Services dispatcher said the Hagerstown Police Department arrived on the scene at 10:19 a.m.

Officer Helman of the Hagerstown Police said that a driver turned left at a red light onto Edgewood and collided head-on with another car going west on Dual Highway.

The first car was towed from the scene at around 10:40 a.m. and the next car was towed at 10:49 a.m..

10:25 a.m.: There is a traffic accident at the intersection of Dual Highway and Edgewood Drive. There was no immediate report of injuries.


10 a.m.: The power line that fell on Cumberland Street in Clear Spring has been repaired.

7:43 a.m.: A power line is down in Clear Spring at 233 Cumberland St. So far there are no reports of it holding up traffic.

6:38 a.m.: Traffic is clear across all interstates and major highways in the region right now.
