Winning entry at Hagerstown art gallery

Skyla Heise, a sixth-grade home-schooled student, took first place for her photograph titled "The Door" in a home school art exhibit at Contemporary School of the Arts and Gallery Inc.

Second place went to Clara Jenkins, ninth grade, for her pencil drawing of a woman.

The third-place winner was Megan Leisinger, eighth grade, for her pencil drawing of horses.

Honorable mention went to to Patrick Snouffer, 12th grade, for his photo “Door to Nowhere,” Clara Jenkins, ninth grade, for her handmade dress, and Ariona Heise, first grade, for her photo “Reflecting on the Water.”
