The Stoners married 50 years

Ronald P. and Doris M. Stoner of Waynesboro, Pa., were guests of honor at a surprise 50th anniversary celebration on Dec. 12, 2010, at a family-style dinner at the Parlor House in Waynesboro. The evening was hosted by Lynn and Lonnie Stoner families. Exactly 50 people attended. The couple were married Dec. 23, 1960.

The Stoners are parents of three sons, Lynn R. and wife Rhonda, of Waynesboro; Lonnie E. and wife Crystal, of Waynesboro, and Kirk P. Stoner, of Mercersburg, Pa.; two grandsons, Andy and Donnie Stoner; and two granddaughters, Courtney and Chelsey Stoner.

Mr. Stoner is the son of Ann Weicht and the late Oscar Stoner.

Mrs. Stoner is the daughter of Edna Mackey and the late Amos Mackey Jr.

Mr. and Mrs. Stoner are members of King Street United Brethren Church, Chambersburg, Pa. They enjoy being with family and friends, the outdoors, car shows and bus trips.

Mr. Stoner is retired from the Carpenter Union, supervisor remodeling Sears Stores on the East Coast and the last two-and-a-half years on test track at Grove-Manitowac.
Mrs. Stoner is retired from Columbia Gas Transmission.
