Jason Adam Smith, 36, of Boonsboro, Md., died Monday, March 28, 2011, at his home.

Born Nov. 27, 1974, in Hagerstown, Md., he was the son of Juanita (Deener) Smith of Boonsboro and the late Chester “Teddy” D. Smith.

Jason was a 1992 graduate of Boonsboro High School and was employed as a plumber with Van Sant Plumbing and Heating Inc. in Mt. Airy, Md.

He was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan.

In addition to his mother, Jason in survived by his brother, David W. Smith and his wife, Gail, of Williamsport, Md.; and his three sisters, Lou Ann Alvey, Kristy Lynn Bowers and Karen Sue Smith, all of Boonsboro. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and his fiancee, Sherry Minnick.

His brother, Rodney S. Smith, preceded him in death in 1978.

A memorial service will be held at noon Saturday, April 2, 2011, at Brownsville Church of the Brethren, 1911 Rohrersville Road, Brownsville, Md. The Rev. Alan M. Smith will officiate. Burial will take place at a later date.

The family will receive friends beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church.
