HAGERSTOWN — Two traffic accidents within about a block of each other snarled traffic in the area of Frederick Street in Hagerstown.

There appeared to be minor injuries in both crashes, Hagerstown Battalion Chief Justin Mayhue said.

The first accident, at the intersection of Frederick and Mill streets, involved a Hyundai Sonata and a Blue-Gray tow truck.

That accident closed the northbound lane of Frederick Street.

The second accident took place at the intersection of Frederick Street and Memorial Boulevard.

It involved a car and two pickup trucks.

No other details were available.

Firetrucks and ambulances were at the scene.

Hagerstown City Police and Fire Police directed traffic.
