AAUW Used Book Sale set for April 14 to 16

The 44th annual AAUW Used Book Sale will be April 14 to 16. This year, the event takes place at a new location at the ARC of Washington Co. Building, 1000 Florida Ave., Hagerstown.

Sale hours on Thursday and Friday are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and on Saturday, the sale will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

More than 25,000 books of all types are sorted into dozens of categories, including collectibles, old and rare, current and choice, plus CDs, DVDs and tapes. Most hardbacks are priced $1 to $3 and small paperbacks cost 50 cents. There will be no bag sale this year.

To get there from Interstate 70, take the Interstate 81 north exit and from I-81, take exit 7B (Salem Avenue).

From Salem Avenue, turn onto Stratford. Go three blocks to Florida Avenue and follow AAUW signs.

The sale is sponsored by the Hagerstown branch of the American Association of University Women. Proceeds provide scholarships for local students.
