Koppenhaver completes basic training

Navy Seaman Recruit Justin D. Koppenhaver, son of Debby P. and Ricky L. Koppenhaver of Mercersburg, Pa., recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill.

Koppenhaver is a 2009 graduate of Truth Christian Academy of Hagerstown.


Wilke graduates from training center

Navy Seaman Recruit Nikki R. Wilke, daughter of Theresa I. and Richard L. Wilke of Falling Waters, W.Va., recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill.  
Wilke is a 2008 graduate of Hedgesville High School of Hedgesville, W.Va.  

 
Keebaugh enlists in U.S. Navy

Civilian Nathan J. Keebaugh, son of Mary A. Poet of Crystal Spring, Pa., and James E. Keebaugh of Warfordsburg, Pa., recently enlisted in the U.S. Navy under the Delayed Entry Program at Navy Recruiting District, Pittsburgh, Pa.

Keebaugh will report for active duty to undergo basic training at the Navy’s Recruit Training Center, Great Lakes, Ill.

Keebaugh is completing his senior year at Southern Fulton High School.


Hunt enlists in U.S. Navy

Civilian Christian T. Hunt, son of Gwendolyn A. Pennington of Frostburg, Md., and Robert W. Hunt Sr. of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., recently enlisted in the United States Navy under the Delayed Entry Program at Navy Recruiting District, Pittsburgh, Pa.

The program allows recruits to enter the Navy and take up to one year to complete prior commitments such as high school. Using recruiters as mentors, this program helps recruits ease into the transition from civilian to military life.

Hunt will report for active duty to undergo basic training at the Navy’s Recruit Training Center, Great Lakes, Ill.

Hunt is a 2007 graduate of Keyser High School of Keyser, W.Va.


Robinson to join the Navy

Civilian Daniel W. Robinson, a 2004 graduate of Boonsboro High School, Boonsboro, recently enlisted in the United States Navy under the Delayed Entry Program at Navy Recruiting District, Pittsburgh, Pa.

The program allows recruits to enter the Navy and take up to one year to complete prior commitments such as high school. Using recruiters as mentors, this program helps recruits ease into the transition from civilian to military life.

Strickland completes Navy basic training

Navy Seaman Anthony M. Strickland, son of Ruth L. MacLean of Mount Airy, Md., and George E. Strickland, of Colorado Springs, Colo., recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill.

Strickland is a 2008 graduate of South Carroll High School of Sykesville, Md.
