Two charged following undercover drug buy in W.Va.

Deputies from the Berkeley and Morgan county sheriff’s departments charged two people with conspiracy to deliver a controlled substance and other counts following an undercover drug buy Thursday at 35 Barney Lane in Hedgesville, W.Va., the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office said.

Onique Williams, 23, of Laurel, Md., also was charged with delivery of crack cocaine, possession with intent to deliver crack cocaine and possession with intent to deliver heroin, according to a sheriff’s office press release.

Alicia Fowler, 29, of Hedgesville, was charged with conspiracy to deliver a controlled substance, deputies said.

Authorities used a search warrant to enter the house after undercover agents purchased five packets of alleged crack cocaine earlier that day, the release said. The search uncovered scales, heroin and drug paraphernalia and deputies confiscated $950, according to the release.


Fowler and Williams were being held without bond in Eastern Regional Jail, a jail official said.

Theft cases reported in Washington County

The following incidents were reported Thursday and Friday by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office:

  • A vacuum system was damaged in the 17100 block of Virginia Avenue.
  • A UPS package was stolen in the 17500 block of Green Meadow Lane.
  • Clothing was stolen from the 17100 block of Cole Road.
  • Money was stolen from a vehicle in the 9800 block of Crossfield Road.
  • Fuel was stolen from a pickup truck in the 19300 block of Keep Tryst Road.

Vehicle fire reported in Franklin County

The following incident was reported Friday by Franklin County Emergency Services:

  • At 1:46 a.m., a vehicle fire was reported on Interstate 81.
