March 24, 2011

MERCERSBURG, Pa. — A two-span bridge over the West Branch of the Concocheague Creek will be replaced under a Pennsylvania Department of Transportation contract announced Thursday.

Work on the bridge in Montgomery Township, Pa., near Findley Road will begin April 11, PennDOT spokesman Michael Crochunis said.

Traffic on Pa. 16 will be detoured using Pa. 416 and Pa. 995 during the $865,000 contract awarded to George S. Hann & Son Inc. of Fort Littleton, Pa., Crochunis said.

The estimated completion is in November, he said.
