Daffodils may have been blooming Tuesday in Hagerstown, but March has a way of being predictably unpredictable.

The National Weather Service said Saturday night’s weather forecast for Hagerstown calls for a 50 percent chance of rain or snow.

Although it is a little early to tell exactly what form the precipitation will take, it could be a significant accumulation of snow, said Carrie Suffern, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Sterling, Va.

It could also be a mix of rain and snow, Suffern said.
