Westbound I-70 in Frederick reopens after tractor-trailer crash

FREDERICK, Md. — Westbound Interstate 70 at the South Street bridge in Frederick had reopened by 3:15 p.m. Wednesday after being closed due to a tractor-trailer accident, according to the Maryland Department of Transportation.

At about 1:30 p.m., a tractor-trailer rig jackknifed, causing its diesel fuel tank to rupture, according to Maryland State Police.

The truck was not hauling a load at the time of the accident and no injuries have been reported, police said.
