FREDERICK, Md. — Sean Przywieczerski smacked a two-run double to cap a five-run sixth inning as South Hagerstown beat Tuscarora 5-1 Monday afternoon in the season opener for both teams.

Marco Cardone picked up the win for the Rebels (1-0), striking out seven in five innings.

SMITHSBURG — Smithsburg put together a four-run rally in the fourth inning to beat North Carroll in its season opener.

Ryne Willard hit a two-run home run, scored two runs and drove in three to lead the Leopards (1-0). Aaron Dinterman, Dylan Ianaro and Devin Baker each had RBIs.

Dylan Eyler picked up the win, allowing just three hits in five innings, and J.R. Rinehart threw two hitless innings for the save.

MANCHESTER, Md. — Boonsboro took a 2-0 lead in the first inning, then watched it slip away against Manchester Valley.
