Accident slows westbound I-70 traffic east of Hagerstown

Traffic was slowed in the westbound lanes of Interstate 70 near the Md. 66 exit east of Hagerstown following a minor accident involving a car and a tractor-trailer Monday afternoon, Maryland State Police Trooper 1st Class J.A. Bowers III said.

The accident occurred when the tractor-trailer began to switch lanes and the car swerved to avoid a collision, Bowers said.
