Two survive accident that cuts car in half

McCONNELLSBURG, Pa. — Two McConnellsburg men survived an accident March 13 that split a Ford Mustang in half, according to a news release from the Pennsylvania State Police.

A black 1979 Mustang was going down Rock Hill Road near Back Run Road, southwest of McConnellsburg, at a high rate of speed around 3:30 p.m. that day when it left the road and hit a telephone pole on the car’s passenger side, police said.

The car split between the front and back seats, police said.

The driver, Adam Nicholas Doyle, 21, had minor injuries, police said.

The passenger, Bradley Hockenberry, 24, had moderate injuries and was taken to Fulton County Medical Center, police said.

Both men were wearing seat belts, police said.
