F&M Trust

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. — Mary Cordell recently was promoted to commercial services relationship manager at F&M Trust.   

Cordell has more than 20 years of banking experience, including commercial, small-business and retail banking. Her banking career began at Citicorp Credit Services as a senior credit analyst. She was community banking manager at Sovereign Bank prior to joining F&M Trust in 2007 as a management trainee in the bank’s credit area of commercial services.

At F&M Trust, Cordell completed an extensive training program that focused on credit analysis of commercial loans, along with a general bank overview. As commercial services relationship manager, she will be responsible for actively pursuing new lending opportunities, as well as developing commercial banking relationships with new and existing businesses in the Southern Franklin County, Pa., area.

Her office is in the bank’s Greencastle, Pa., office, but she also will meet with commercial customers at the bank’s Waynesboro, Mont Alto and Marion offices, as well as at customers’ places of business.
Cordell has completed various banking and financial service courses such as commercial lending EXL through the Pennsylvania Bankers Association and also is licensed to sell insurance. An active member of the Greater Chambersburg Chamber of Commerce, Cordell previously served as a board member for the Chambersburg Downtown Business Council.


She resides in the Greencastle area with her husband and daughter.

O’Neill Physical Therapy Services

Lorraine O’Neill, owner of O’Neill Physical Therapy Services, recently completed an advanced course titled “Comprehensive Evaluation and Treatment of the Foot and Ankle.”
The course covered treatment of painful foot and ankle problems, including exercises, manual therapy and custom orthotics.

The Family Heritage Trust Co., headquartered in Frederick, Md., announces the addition to its staff of Sandra L. Miller as vice president and senior trust officer.  

Miller is an experienced trust officer and portfolio manager with more than 35 years in banking and the investment industry, dealing with institutional and retail clients. She is a chartered financial consultant, and has expertise in financial and estate planning.

Miller, who recently moved to Carroll County, Md., from Baltimore, has been involved with The Community Foundation of Carroll County, Friends of Fort McHenry and Catholic Charities — Our Daily Bread, and is looking forward to her involvement with the families, business owners, civic groups and charitable organizations in the region.

Larry & Sons Inc./Mr. Drain Cleaner

Mo Collela, an employee of Larry & Sons Inc./Mr. Drain Cleaner, obtained certification for residential and light commercial air balancing and diagnostics from the National Comfort Institute.

The three-day training provided principles and procedures of testing and balancing heating and cooling in residential homes and light-commercial environments. NCI is the leading performance-based contractor and has been at the forefront of developing cutting-edge training and certification programs for heating and air-conditioning professionals.

Maryland Correctional Institution-Hagerstown

Tanya Grabowski, correctional officer II, was named the March employee of the month at Maryland Correctional Institution-Hagerstown.

Grabowski has devoted appropriate attention to all responsibilities not only in her assigned area, but to other areas, according to a news release from the prison. She assists other staff members in proper procedures for institutional counts, inmate programs, updates on the daily use of computers, etc. Some of her strong traits are in her accuracy of reports, as well as excellent writing skills and organizational abilities, according to the release.

Grabowski demonstrates knowledge, dependability, communication and computer skills, as well as loyalty and dedication not only to her shift but to the overall facility.

Heather O’Connor is the new relocation director for the Hagerstown office of Prudential Premier Realty.

Callas Contractors

Callas Contractors’ 2010 year-end safety awards were given to the following: Floyd Fritz, superintendent, most improved in safety; Joe Springer, carpenter, safest employee; and Gary Bradshaw, carpenter, most improved in safety.
