On Feb. 19, Contemporary School for the Arts & Gallery Inc. in Hagerstown hosted an acrylic art class for grades six through adult.

Art teacher Cathy Seburn taught the 10 students how to paint a peep and its egg. Students were taught practical painting techniques while being encouraged to use their creativity.

The students left with an Easter painting as well as a sense of accomplishment. Acrylic art classes will be held again the third Saturday of the months on April 16 and May 21, from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Classes are free, but donations are accepted at the gallery, 4 W. Franklin St., in Hagerstown. No registration is required. All materials are provided.
