Familiar face at 5K

Congratulations to those who attended and participated in the St. Patrick's Day 5K run  Saturday at Martin L. "Marty" Snook Memorial Park in Halfway. I  participated in the race along with a familiar face Jess West, who writes  the "Around West Hagerstown" column. She and I met at the starting line and discovered that we were both correspondents for the paper. We raced to the finish and completed the 5K. Many congrats to you, Jess, on your successful run and weight-loss journey. Keep up the good work.

Spring starts Sunday

Sunday will mark the first official day of the spring season. I'm not sure about you, but I'm looking forward to milder, sunnier weather. Ready to pack up the winter gear, head outside, plant some flowers and enjoy the longer, sunnier days of the spring season.

Happy spring to all.
