Rockland Woods Elementary School dinner and auction

Rockland Woods Elementary School will hold a dinner and auction Saturday, March 26, at Next Dimensions on Old National Pike.

Doors open at 4 p.m., dinner will be served at 6 p.m. and the auction follows.

The menu includes Chesapeake chicken, baked ziti, salad, vegetables, red rosemary potatoes, rolls, dessert, coffee or iced tea.

Tickets cost $15 per person. A cash bar will be available. You must be 21 or older to attend. The deadline to purchase tickets is Friday. Reservations are required.

Discovery Station

Saturday - Alan Hedges will present "Fossils and Fossil Fuel" at Discovery Station at 2 p.m.

Sunday - Sukey Rankin will present hands-on Japanese cultural activities at 2:30 p.m.

Lions Club

Tuesday - Jay Seipler, service coordinator for Special Olympics, will talk about Special Olympics in Washington County.

Cooking Demonstration

The Women's Club, at 31 S. Prospect St., will host a cooking demonstration Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.

Chef John Walla from the Black Eyed Susan restaurant will be the presenter. He will prepare dishes for St. Patrick's Day.

Door prizes will be available.

Travelogue series

The Kiwanis Club of Hagerstown continues its travelogue series with a presentation of "Egypt, the Footsteps of Moses," Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at South Hagerstown High School's auditorium.

The presenter will be Dennis Burkhart.

Single-admission tickets are sold at the door on show nights. Tickets cost $10 for adults and $5 for students. For tickets, call 301-739-1981.

Proceeds help the Kiwanis Club support charities throughout Washington County.

Basket bingo

The E. Russell Hicks Middle School Band Boosters will hold a basket bingo Sunday at Elks Lodge 378 on Robinwood Drive.

Tickets cost $25, which includes 24 games and lunch. In addition, baskets will be raffled and door prizes and tip jars, including King Tuts, will be available. All winning baskets will be filled.

Doors open at 11 a.m., lunch will be served at noon and bingo begins at 1 p.m.

Diabetes support group

The diabetes support group at Potomac Towers will meet Wednesday, April 13, at 1:30 p.m. in the first-floor community room.

The program will be on proper foot care for diabetics, presented by Dr. Greg Smith of Podiatry Associates John Lipscomb from Advanced Diabetic Solutions will be available to order diabetic shoes with custom- shoe fitting.

The support group is open to individuals who live at Potomac Towers and anyone in the community.

The group provides a forum for educating individuals with diabetes to help manage their disease and to gain support from others.

Band plans basket bingo

The South High Band Boosters will hold a Vera Bradley basket bingo Sunday, April 3, at the Elks Lodge on Robinwood Drive.

Tickets, which include the meal and 24 games of bingo, cost $25 per person.

In addition, there will be three raffles and numerous door prices.

Tip jars, including King Tuts, will be available. All baskets and bags will be filled.

Doors open at 11:30 a.m., lunch will be served at 12:30 p.m. and bingo starts at 1:30 p.m.

Fire company bingo

Antietam Fire Co. will host a basket bingo Sunday, April 10, at Western Enterprise Fire Hall, 526 Washington Ave.

There will be filled baskets, as well as raffles and tip jars. Food will be available.

Doors will open at 12:30 p.m. and bingo begins at 1:30 p.m.

Baskets and Bucks Bingo

Western Enterprise fire hall will hold a Baskets and Bucks Bingo Sunday.

Doors open at 12:30 p.m. and bingo starts at 2 p.m.

There will be 14 basket prizes and 14 cash prizes. In addition, there will be raffles, tip jars, King Tuts and 50/50s available. Food will be available.

Tickets cost $20 in advance or $25 at the door. You must be at least 18 to attend.

The fire hall is at 526 Washington Ave. in Hagerstown.
