A Hagerstown man who was struck on his bicycle by a hit-and-run driver Wednesday night in Antrim Township, Pa., was taken to Meritus Medical Center to be treated for serious injuries, Pennsylvania State Police said.

Albert E. Myers, 61, of Hagerstown, was not listed as a patient at Meritus Medical Center on Thursday morning and was not in the emergency room, a hospital spokeswoman said.

Myers was riding his bicycle in the 600 block of Hykes Road at about 10:20 p.m., when he was struck by a vehicle that left the scene, according to a state police press release. The collision caused Myers to crash his bike into a guide wire and telephone pole, police said.
