Hagerstown gallery features Berkeley Springs artists

March 10, 2011

Washington County Arts Council’s March show is “Creative Community: The Collaborative Conscience,” featuring works by members of Frog Valley Artisans of Berkeley Springs, W.Va.

Artwork on display includes pottery, stained glass, fused glass, photography and metal sculpture. Many of the pieces involve collaborative efforts — a steel sculpture by Mark Schwenk with glass panes added by Veronica Wilson, or a fused-glass panel by Angela Matthews framed in steel by Schwenk. The fourth member of the group is potter Gordon Macleod.

The exhibit continues through Wednesday, March 30, at the WCAC gallery, 14 W. Washington St., downtown Hagerstown. Admission is free. Call Angela Wyckoff at 301-791-3132 or go to www.washingtoncountyarts.com.
