Dorothy May Ewbank, 82, of Hagerstown, Md., passed away Wednesday, March 9, 2011, at her home.
Born Monday, Sept. 24, 1928, in Washington, D.C., she was the daughter of the late Robert A. Kidwell and the late Ruth Lowe Kidwell.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Randall Ewbank, in 2003.
She was employed as a Title 1 aide and substitute teacher for the Washington County Board of Education, and also worked with the adult basic education program for Washington County.
She was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church and BPO Elks Lodge 378.
She is survived by three daughters, Sandra K. Myers of Boonsboro, Md., Sharon K. Martin and husband, Bryan, of Hagerstown, and Rebel L. Baker and husband, Terry, of Chambersburg, Pa.; one sister, Barbara Burnett, of Waldorf, Md.; and two grandsons, Pat R. Myers of Hagerstown and Tim M. Myers of Martinsburg, W.Va.
Services will be held Saturday, March 12, 2011, at 11 a.m. at the Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown, with the Rev. G. Stanley Steele officiating.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 11.
Interment will be at the Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown.
