Copper, aluminum stolen in Washington County

The following incidents were reported Monday and Tuesday by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office:

  • Copper piping was stolen in the 19700 block of Leitersburg Pike.
  • Copper tubing and copper valves were stolen in the 21200 block of Twin Springs Drive.
  • Aluminum was stolen in the 17300 block of Broadfording Road.

Mobile home fire reported in Guilford Twp.

A mobile home fire was reported at about 10:20 p.m. Monday in the 1000 block of Garver Lane in Greene Township, Pa., a Franklin County Emergency Services dispatcher said.

A firefighter at the Fayetteville Vol. Fire Department said Tuesday morning that the fire was serious, but further details were not available.


Franklin County fire calls

The following incidents were reported Monday by Franklin County (Pa.) Emergency Services:

  • At 6:42 p.m., an automatic fire alarm in the 1200 block of Lacebark Circle in Greene Township.
  • At 7:42 p.m., a chimney fire in the 700 block of Ryan Lane in Antrim Township.
  • At 10:18 p.m., a mobile home fire in the 1000 block of Garver Lane in Greene Township.

Waynesboro Police Department report

The following incidents were reported by the Waynesboro Police Department:


  • At 2:19 a.m., a man was cited for public drunkenness near the intersection of West Second and South Potomac streets. 
  • At 5:33 p.m., police were called to investigate a portion of fence that was cut in the 600 block of North Grant Street.
