Needmore, Pa., woman dies following crash

BRUSH CREEK TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A Needmore, Pa., woman died Sunday after the vehicle she was driving crashed into a tree in Fulton County, Pennsylvania State Police said in a news release.

Amanda Starr Willey, 30, was pronounced dead at Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown at 8:07 p.m., the release said.

According to police, Willey was driving a 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee eastbound on Pa. 643 at 5:20 p.m. when the vehicle left the roadway and struck a large tree.

Willey was taken by ambulance to a helicopter that flew her to the hospital in Hagerstown, the release said.

Willey was not wearing a seatbelt, police said.
