Girl Scout Troop 47888 is selling Girl Scout cookies. The cookies cost $4 a box.

The girls will be at City Farmers Market Saturday from 7 to 10:30 a.m., Valley Mall March 12 and Lowe's in the North End on March 19.

Ash Wednesday

Second Christian Church, 65 W. North Ave., will hold its annual Ash Wednesday service on Wednesday, March 9, at noon.

Fashion show

Although the weather is a little cool, the directors of For Our Kids' Sake are swinging into spring with a Spring Bling Fashion Show at Elks Lodge 278, at 326 Jonathan St. on Friday, March 11, at 9 p.m.

Come and check out the spring/summer attire while listening to DJ Tracey.

Blossom School news

Ladetra Robinson, director of the Blossom School of Etiquette, sends special thanks to all of the Blossom students who completed the course and took their exam on Feb. 26.   

Graduation will be on Saturday at the Hagerstown Presbyterian Church, 20 Prospect St.

The Blossom School has started a club and mentoring program for its graduates.

Day of food sales

Second Christian Church, 65 W. North Ave. in Hagerstown, invites the community to go for breakfast, stay for lunch and take dinner home as it is planning a day full of food for sale Saturday.

Breakfast will be from 7 to 11 a.m. Tickets cost $6. The menu includes eggs, sausage or bacon, fried potatoes, biscuit, pancakes and orange juice or coffee.

Lunch will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Ham sandwiches cost $2.25 each, chicken salad sandwiches cost $1.75 each, and bean, vegetable or chicken corn soup will be available for $5 per quart. Turkey salad will cost $10 for a quart.

Dinner will be served from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets cost $8. The menu includes fried chicken, potato salad, collard greens, roll, cake or pie and soda or water.

The food sale will benefit the Second Christian Church's Men and Women's Day.

Movie night

The movie "Legend of the Guardians "The Owls of Ga'hoole" will be shown Saturday at 7 p.m. at the Bridge of Life Church, 14 S. Potomac St. in Hagerstown.

Free popcorn and free drinks will be available.
