Tractor-trailer cab hits utility pole

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. — A tractor-trailer cab trying to turn onto Sunset Pike clipped a utility pole Saturday afternoon, according to a Pennsylvania State Police news release.

The 1993 Freightliner Day cab was heading south on Philadelphia Avenue around 3:05 p.m. Saturday when it turned right on Sunset and hit the pole, causing minor damage to the pole, police said.

Jetta hits sign, mailbox, bush

SCOTLAND, Pa. — A 2001 Volkswagen Jetta hit a sign, mailbox and bush Friday afternoon along Olde Scotland Road, according to a Pennsylvania State Police news release.

The Jetta was heading south on Olde Scotland Road around 4:50 p.m. Friday when it went off the right side of the road as the road curved to the left, police said.
