Partners in Pediatrics

Christa Martin, certified pediatric nurse practitioner, has joined Partners in Pediatrics in Hagerstown.

Martin graduated from Villanova University with a focus on pediatric and adolescent primary care. She has a special interest in the health of young women.

A native of Waynesboro, Pa., her first nursing job was at the former Washington County Hospital as a nursing assistant.

Martin joins Drs. Bruce Weneck and Emeka Obidi and physician assistant Rob Cathor.

Partners In Pediatrics is at 303 W. Memorial Blvd., near City Park.



Citizens Bank

PROVIDENCE, R.I. — Renea Ondra-Yodie, from Hagerstown, has joined Citizens Bank as vice president and fair lending manager. Based in Providence, she is responsible for ensuring that the bank's lending policies and practices comply with fair lending laws and regulations.

Ondra-Yodie began her banking career at Citigroup, where she worked for 15 years in various roles, most recently in the Risk and Control Division in Hagerstown.

She is a volunteer for numerous civic organizations. Ondra-Yodie graduated from the University of Maryland with a degree in legal studies.



Brechbill & Helman Construction Co. Inc.

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. — Angus Steinson
of Brechbill & Helman Construction Co. Inc. has successfully completed the requirements for the nationally recognized Designated Design-Build Professional certification.

The Design-Build Institute of America awarded designated status to Steinson upon his successful completion of the formal exam, which was administered Oct. 1, 2010.

DBIA's certification program seeks to recognize industry professionals who demonstrate a practical level of knowledge and hands-on experience in design-build project delivery.

Successful completion of the exam, as well as three years of substantial design-build work experience, are required to earn the certification.



Antrim Way Honda

GREENCASTLE, Pa. —
Antrim Way Honda sales consultant John Oliver was recently honored by American Honda Motor Co. Inc. for achieving gold-level membership in the 2010 council of its sales leadership recognition program.

The honor is awarded to Honda sales consultants who consistently exhibit sales leadership and professionalism.

Oliver has been named a member of the council of sales leadership for the third time. He was among the 1,049 out of more than 13,000, Honda sales consultants to achieve gold-level membership in 2010.

Oliver has been serving Honda customers at Antrim Way Honda in Greencastle for 13 years.

Fort Detrick

FORT DETRICK, Md. — Col. Judith Robinson,
Fort Detrick garrison commander, was recently presented with the Leadership and Innovator Award for Government Leading by Example at the sixth annual Wintergreen Awards for Excellence in Green Building, sponsored by the Maryland Chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council.

More than 500 people associated with the commercial real estate, architecture, engineering, interior design and construction industries gathered for the event at the Thames Street Wharf.

The awards were presented in two categories: Projects and Leadership, and Leadership and Innovator.

The Projects and Leadership Awards are project-based awards given to outstanding green projects.

The USGBC recognized Robinson for leadership and innovation for projects and initiatives that contributed to market transformation, community organization and change.



Valley Dental Associates

Dr. Brian Motz has joined Valley Dental Associates in Hagerstown.

Motz is a graduate of the University of Maryland, Baltimore College of Dental Surgery.

Prior to receiving his dentistry degree, he attended Towson University, where he received a bachelor's degree in biology.

Motz is certified with the Northeast Regional Board of Dental Examiners, as well as with the National Dental Board.

In addition, Motz is a certified Invisalign provider, a member of the Academy of Laser Dentistry, a member of the Maryland State Dental Association, Pennsylvania Dental Association, as well as the American Dental Association.

Motz is a native of Hagerstown.



Montessori Academy of Chambersburg

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. —
The board of directors for Montessori Academy of Chambersburg announced that Michelle D'Antonio, current director of education, has been appointed head of school.

D'Antonio has been a part of the academy since 1999.

She also serves as a mentor in the Franklin County Leadership Program through the Chambersburg Chamber of Commerce.



Barley Snyder

Barley Snyder, a regional law firm with offices in central Pennsylvania, recently appointed Melissa Marschka as the director of business development.

Marschka joins the firm after most recently serving as director of leadership giving at the United Way of Lancaster County, Pa.

Marschka graduated with a bachelor's degree from Millersville University.  She received her master's in business administration from Penn State University in 2007.

She is a member of the Junior League of Lancaster County and the United Way of Lancaster County's Women's Council.
