Arnold  D. "Sonny"  Enfusse, 71, of 14244 Windy Haven Road, Smithsburg Md., passed away, Monday, Feb. 21, 2011, at the Meritus Medical Center near Hagerstown.

Born Saturday, Jan. 6, 1940, in Whitesburg, Ky., he was the son of the late Roy Enfusse and the late Vivian Fields Enfusse.

Sonny was a career serviceman in the U.S. Army, serving during the Vietnam War, and retiring after 26 years. He later was employed with the U.S. Department of Defense, retiring after 10 years.

He was past commander of the Cascade American Legion Post 239. Sonny was an avid golfer and bowler and enjoyed doing both with his friends.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Doris Enfusse; one daughter, Barbara and husband, Bob Trawick, of Clarksville, Tenn.; a son, Arnold and wife, Terri Enfusse, of Waynesboro, Pa.; three sisters, Madge Hall of Pound, Va., Phyllis Mullins, also of Pound, and Glenda Broome of Georgetown, Ky.;  three brothers, Donald Enfusse of Whitesburg, Ky., Nathan Enfuse of San Antonio, Texas, and Jerry Enfusse of Sandusky, Ohio; three grandchildren, Robert and Bryan Trawick, and Ana Enfusse.

Services will be held Thursday, Feb. 24, 2011, at noon, at the Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown, with Pastor Bobby Robinson officiating.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11 a.m. to noon Thursday, Feb. 24.

Interment will be at the Smithsburg Cemetery, Smithsburg, Md.
