Presidents Day holiday hours

The following is a list of what is opened or closed for the Presidents Day holiday on Monday:

• The Washington County Board of Education's central office is closed, and there is no classes in county public schools.

• Washington County government offices are open.

• The Hagerstown city offices will be closed. But emergency and continuous operations will not be affected, and there will be no interruption of normal recycling and trash collection service.

• Maryland courts, including Washington County Circuit Court and Washington County District Court, will be closed.

• Maryland state offices are closed.

• The Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration's full-service and express offices will be closed Saturday and Monday. All Vehicle Emissions Inspection Program stations also will be closed.

• Federal Reserve banks and branches are closed.

• There will be no regular mail delivery by the U.S. Postal Service.

• Frederick County administrative offices and Frederick County public libraries will be closed.

• Frederick Animal Control will be open for the showing and adoption of animals on Monday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

• Curbside Recycling will operate on normal schedules. The Frederick County Landfill and Reichs Ford Road Recycling Center will be open from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., but administrative offices will be closed.  

• TransIT-Plus (demand response) will not operate. There will be no MARC train services. All other services will operate on regular schedules, except peak-hour bus service which will be canceled. The office will be closed.
