Hagerstown police respond to incidents

The Hagerstown Police Department responded to the following incidents, according to spokeswoman Barbara Pickett:

Feb. 12

  • An officer was assaulted in the 500 block of Virginia Avenue. The incident, which resulted in an arrest, also involved resisting and hindering.
  • A theft was reported at the Reach Shelter at 140 W. Franklin Street.
  • A theft was reported in the 60 block of Elizabeth Street.
  • Damage to a motor vehicle was reported on Summer Street
  • Tampering with a vehicle was reported in the 40 block of Elgin Boulevard.
  • A domestic incident was reported in the 1000 block of Security Road.
  • A domestic violence incident was reported in the 500 block of Lynnehaven Drive.
  • A domestic assault was reported in the first block of East Avenue. An arrest was made.
  • A theft and recovery of a moped was reported in the 300 block of North Cannon Avenue.
  • A theft from a vehicle was reported in the 500 block of West Washington Street.
  • Shots were reported fired at Salem and West Side avenues.
  • A burglary was reported in the 400 block of George Street.

  • An arrest warrant was served in the first block of South Locust Street.
  • A domestic violence incident was reported in the first block of North Locust Street.
  • Numerous charges were filed against a person in the 500 block of Lynnehaven Drive.
  • A drunken driving incident and damage to property occurred in the 500 block of Security Road. An arrest was made.
  • Theft of a taxi fare was reported in the 800 block of Lanvale Street.
  • An attended death was reported in the 800 block of Forest Drive.
  • A red Promax Sport G4 scooter was found in the 300 block of Jefferson Street.
  • A trespassing incident was reported in the 17000 block of Garland Groh Boulevard. An arrest was made.
  • A theft of a moped was reported in the 10 block of Snyder Avenue.
  • A Suzuki dirt bike was reported stolen in the 200 block of North Mulberry Street.
  • A burglary was reported in the 500 block of Pangborn Boulevard.
  • A strong-arm robbery was reported in the 800 block of West Washington Street.
  • Vehicle and controlled dangerous substance violations were reported in the 600 block of Mitchell Avenue. An arrest was made.
  • A domestic referral was made in the 100 block of Summer Street.

A domestic referral was made in the 300 block of Woodpoint Avenue.

Feb. 14

  • A controlled dangerous substance violation was reported in Hager Park. An arrest was made.
  • A person was injured in a vehicle crash at Oak Hill and Northern avenues.
  • A sexual assault was reported in the first block of Manor Drive.
  • A burglary was reported in the 900 block of Frederick Street.
  • A burglary was reported in the 40 block of North Locust Street.
  • A vehicle accident occurred at Burhans Boulevard and Park Lane.
  • Theft and damage to property involving a vending machine was reported at the Family Dollar store at 591 Dual Highway.
  • A person was injured in a vehicle crash in the first block of East Washington Street.
  • A domestic violence referral was made in the 700 block of Maryland Avenue.
  • A wallet was stolen at the CVS store on Cannon Avenue.
  • Controlled dangerous substance violations were reported in the 400 block of North Locust Street. An arrest was made.
  • Public drinking was reported in the 300 block of Bethune Avenue. An arrest was made.
  • Controlled dangerous substance violations were reported in the first block of East Baltimore Street. An arrest was made.
  • Credit card fraud was reported at the Walmart on Garland Groh Boulevard.
  • Controlled dangerous substance violations were reported in the 100 block of East Antietam Street. Three arrests were made.

Feb. 15

  • A burglary was reported in the 1000 block of Pope Avenue.
  • A domestic violence incident was reported in the first block of South Potomac Street.
  • A vehicle accident occurred at Jefferson and Vale streets.
  • A rape was reported in the 100 block of Tulip Court.
  • A theft of an Ipod was reported in the 700 block of George Street.
  • A disorderly conduct incident was reported at South Hagerstown High School. A juvenile was charged.
  • An attempted rape was reported at a Super 8 motel in the 1200 block of Dual Highway.
  • An unattended child was reported at an apartment in the 1700 block of Edgewood Hill Circle.
  • A stolen vehicle was recovered in the 1600 block of Langley Drive.
  • A person was injured at a business on West Washington Street.
  • An attended death was reported at an apartment in the 500 block of West Washington Street.
  • A blue 1989 Buick Riviera with no license plates was towed from the Mid City Parking Lot.
  • A domestic incident was reported in the 800 block of South Potomac Street.
  • A theft was reported at the Salvation Army Thrift Store at 524 Frederick St.
  • A suicide was reported in the 100 block of North Potomac Street.
  • A missing person was reported in the 400 block of North Prospect Street.
  • A theft from a vehicle was reported in the 200 block of South Mulberry Street.

Mercersburg man charged with pointing loaded shotgun at woman

A Mercersburg, Pa., man has been charged with pointing a loaded shotgun at a woman Wednesday in the 4400 block of Parnell Drive in Franklin County, Pa.

David Charles Eutzy, 32, was with aggravated assault, simple assault, reckless endangerment and terroristic threats, Pennsylvania State Police said in a release.

Troopers alleged that Eutzy pointed the shotgun at the woman at about 8:30 p.m. and threatened to kill her.


Franklin County Emergency Services report

The following incidents were reported Friday by Franklin County Emergency Services:

  • At 12:26 a.m., an auto accident in the 5300 block of Orrstown Road.
  • At 4:37 a.m., a fire alarm in the 100 block of Cumberland Valley Avenue in Waynesboro.
  • At 4:45 a.m., a fire alarm in the 400 block of Hamilton Avenue.
