BRIEF

Shepherd shows its appreciation

SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. — Shepherd University will host Fan Appreciation Day for Saturday’s basketball doubleheader against Ohio Valley. The women’s game begins at 2 p.m., followed by the men’s contest at 4.

Fan Appreciation Day is sponsored by the Big Horn Club, one of Shepherd basketball’s support groups. There will be prizes and giveaways at both games, and the first 150 fans admitted for the women’s game will receive a free hot dog, chips and lemonade in between games on the balcony.
