Church offers child care so parents can go on a date

If you are planning a belated Valentine’s date, Greenbrier Baptist Church on the corner of U.S. 40 and Md. 66 is sponsoring Friday Night Date Night.
Church members will happily entertain and care for those ages 2 to 14 from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at no cost. The event takes place every Friday, and includes games, movies and age-appropriate crafts.

Yoga classes

It’s not too late to support your healthy resolutions for 2011. Yoga classes are offered at Mount Nebo United Methodist Church in Boonsboro. A six-week session begins Sunday, Feb. 27, at 5:30 p.m. for $42 for the entire session. The drop-in fee is $9 per class. Pancake breakfast

Boonsboro Lions Club will hold a pancake, sausage and sausage gravy breakfast Saturday, March 12, from 7 to 11 a.m. in the social room at Trinity Lutheran Church. The all-you-can-eat breakfast is available by donation. There will also be a bake sale. At the breakfast, the Lions will collect used eyeglasses to support its mission.

Girls league


Sharpsburg Little League Girls Fast Pitch Softball registration and clinics are coming up fast. Girls ages 6 to12 can register and attend any of four upcoming clinics.  

Sharpsburg Bible Church will host registration Saturday from noon to 4 p.m., and clinics and late registration will start Sunday, Feb. 20.
