UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Lexi Bryan, a sophomore at Penn State University, has been named to the dean’s list for the fall semester, the third time in three semesters.  

Lexi is majoring in accounting/finance. She is a member of the Smeal College of Business, a member of the Alpha Kappa Psi Business Fraternity, and is active with “Thon,” one of the largest, on-campus Philanthropic events in the country. The dance marathon raises more than $7 million per year for the Four Diamonds Fund, which supports Children’s Cancer Research at Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital.  

Lexi graduated from Williamsport High School in 2009.

She is the daughter of Tim and Kendra Bryan of Williamsport.



MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Christopher Edward Heim has been named to the dean’s list at West Virginia University, earning a 3.7 grade-point average for the fall semester.

Christopher is a senior with a dual major of mechanical and aerospace engineering.

He is a 2007 graduate of Boonsboro High School.

He is the son of Ed and Janet Heim of Hagerstown.



MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Camille Elizabeth Heim has been named to the president’s list at West Virginia University, earning a 4.0 grade-point average for the fall semester.

Camille is a sophomore pre-pharmacy major.

She is a 2009 graduate of Boonsboro High School.

She is the daughter of Ed and Janet Heim of Hagerstown.



COLLEGE PARK, Md. — David Lieb, a 2010 Middletown (Md.) High School graduate and a freshman at the University of Maryland, has been named to the distinguished dean’s list for the fall semester, earning a  4.0 grade-point average.

David is pursuing a bachelor of science degree in cell and molecular biology.  

David intends to continue his education after graduation and obtain his medical degree.

TOWSON, Md. — Kara Henson of Hagerstown has been named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at Towson University.
 
She graduated from South Hagerstown High School in 2010.
 
She is a freshman majoring in nursing.  She is the daughter of Kerry and Kathy Henson.



KENT, Ohio — Kaitlyn Bosco of Hagerstown has been named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at Kent State University.

She is majoring in speech pathology/audiology.

She is the daughter of Gary and Marie Bosco of Hagerstown.



ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. — Elizabethtown College awarded degrees to those students who completed their coursework in January. The following area students received degrees:
  • Autumn Atherton of Chambersburg Pa., graduated with a master’s degree in occupational therapy.
  • Amanda Ritchey of Greencastle, Pa., graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business administration.



WINCHESTER, Va. — Julie Nicole McDonald of Hagerstown, a University Studies major in the School of Arts and Sciences at Shenandoah University, has been named to the dean’s list for the fall semester.
She is a 2009 graduate of Smithsburg High School.

She is the daughter of Cindy and Richard McDonald of Hagerstown.


ALLENTOWN, Pa. —  Mary McGinley of Hagerstown has been named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at Muhlenberg College.  

A member of the class of 2014, she is an undeclared major.

She is a graduate of St. Maria Goretti High School.

She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael McGinley of Hagerstown.



BREVARD, N.C.  — Teresa Marie Musick of Hagerstown has been named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at Brevard College.


BUCKHANNON, W.Va. — The following area students have been named to the fall semester President’s Academic Recognition list at West Virginia Wesleyan. The criteria for inclusion on the list is 4.0  grade-point average with a minimum of 12 earned hours for the semester:

CHARLESTON, S.C. — Cadet Ryan Thomas Heavner of Hagerstown has been named to the dean’s list at The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina, for the fall semester.

Heavner is seeking a BS in business administration.

He is the son of Kathleen Heavner of Hagerstown and Brian Heavner of Mercersburg, Pa.



LEWISBURG, Pa. — Lauren T. Lesko of Waynesboro, Pa., graduated with a bachelor of arts in English from Bucknell University.

She is a 2006 graduate of Mercersburg Academy.

She is the daughter of Bruce and Beth Lesko of Waynesboro.



DURHAM, N.H.  — Jared Smith of Greencastle, Pa., has been named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at the University of New Hampshire.


WINCHESTER, Va. — Mariel Elizabeth Beachley of Hagerstown has been named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at Sheandoah University.

She is a University Studies major in the School of Arts and Sciences.



MELBOURNE, Fla. — The following area students have been named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at Florida Institute of Technology:
  • Michael Finch of Mount Airy, Md., an electrical engineering major
  • David Jarkey of Middletown, Md., an aerospace engineering major
