City Ethics Commission deadline Feb. 15

The City of Hagerstown is seeking residents to serve on a newly established City Ethics Commission.

The responsibilities of the City Ethics Commission include providing advisory opinions as to the applicability of the City's Ethics Code, process and make determinations of complaints alleging violation of the City's Ethics Code and establishing and conducting public information programs relating to the purpose and application of the City's Ethics Code. 

The commission will have five members, and each member will serve a five-year term, but no more than two consecutive terms. Applicants are required to live in the corporate boundaries of Hagerstown.

The deadline to submit an application is Tuesday, Feb. 15.
