MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — Panhandle Home Health announces the appointment of Dr. Andrea Allen to the Professional Advisory Committee.
She joins other health care professionals to provide professional guidance to Panhandle Home Health (PHHI) concerning professional issues.
The committee establishes and annually reviews policies governing the scope of services offered by PHHI.  
Allen has 14 years of experience as a home care and hospice physician and medical director. She also is a nationally recognized hospice and palliative care educator having presented at numerous national conferences on the topics of pain management, hospice and other end-of-life care issues.
Allen received her medical degree in 1984 from George Washington University in Washington, D.C. She completed her family medicine residency in 1987 at the Medical College of Virginia and her Master of Healthcare Administration degree in 2000 from Seton Hall University.
She is a member of the WV Academy of Family Physicians; the American Academy of Family Physicians; the Eastern Panhandle Medical Society, AMA; the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine; and the Professional Education Committee for National Hospice & Palliative Care Organization. She is the Medical Director for Hospice of the Panhandle.
