BOYS BASKETBALL
COVE, Pa. — Derek Null had 19 points and eight rebounds as Waynesboro snapped a 33-game losing streak with a 47-21 victory Thursday over winless Susquenita (0-22).
Cole Warrenfeltz had nine points, three rebounds and two assists for the Indians (1-21), whose last victory came against Biglerville on Dec. 29, 2009.

PREP INDOOR TRACK
South boys win 4x200
BALTIMORE — South Hagerstown’s Jarred Moquin, Kwasi Ofosu-Ameyaw, Chip Rittenhouse and Jordan Alston won the boys 4x200-meter relay in 1:37.9 at the Maryland Class 3A West region championships at the Baltimore Armory on Wednesday.
The South girls also performed well in the 4x200, as Elizsha Streeter, Hayley Freeman, Jaid Sandeen and Kiona Mency placed second in 1:54.6.
The top four finishers in each event automatically qualified for the Feb. 22 state meet.
Sandeen also placed second in the pole vault (9 feet) and tied for fourth in the high jump (4 feet, 10 inches), while Mency took third in the 55 dash in 7.66 seconds.
The South boys finished third in the 4x400 in 3:49.0 with Marco Cardone, Ofosu-Ameyaw, Rittenhouse and Alston.

The Rams (10-12, 7-10) had four other players score in double figures. Brantley Osborne had 13 points, Dave Karlson had 12, Marcus Pilgrim scored 11 and Jonathan Motichka added 10.
