INWOOD, W.Va. — Richard Douglas Frizzell, 63, of Surveyor Drive, Inwood, died on Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2011, at his home.

Born Feb. 15, 1947, in Washington County, Md., he was the son of the late John W. and Marie I. Hoyle Frizzell.

He was a veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy.

He was employed with Mack Truck for 30 years, retiring as a lead mechanic.

He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Vicki Frizzell; one daughter, Kimberly Frizzell of Hagerstown; one stepson, Robert Carnell and wife, Beth, of Greencastle, Pa.; two half-sisters, Lois Melius of Hagerstown and Sue Hull of Florida; and five grandsons, Benjamin Carnell, Blade Carnell, Gauge Delaschmutt, Trent Delaschmutt and Xavier Smith.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park in Hagerstown. The Rev. Clark D. Carr will officiate.   

Graveside military honors will be conducted by Washington County AMVETS Post 10 and the Marine Corps League of Hagerstown.  

Family will receive friends at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m.
