Valentine's party planned

St. John’s UCC will host a Valentine’s celebration Friday. Tickets are on sale for the steak dinner (by Ernst Market), along with a dessert buffet and entertainment by Ricochet, from Martinsburg W.Va. Tickets cost $20 per person and must be purchased in advance. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the dinner is at 6:30 p.m. The public is invited. Proceeds will benefit the St. John’s building fund.

Fine-arts recital

There will be a fine arts recital Saturday, Feb. 19, at 7 p.m. in the Clear Spring High School auditorium.

Admission costs $4 for adults and $2 for students. The recital will feature songs from “Phantom of the Opera,” “Les Miserables,” “A Chorus Line” and more. The snow date is Saturday, Feb. 26, at 7 p.m.

Spaghetti supper

A spaghetti supper to benefit Clear Spring athletics will be Saturday, Feb. 19, from 4 to 7 p.m. at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Clear Spring. The meal includes spaghetti, roll, green beans, Jell-O, cake, and hot and cold drinks. Tickets cost $6 for adults and $4.50 for students. Carryout meals will be available.


The community is invited to a valentine bingo special at the Clear Spring Volunteer Fire Co.’s Special Events Building, where bingo is held every Saturday night. The Valentine Bingo will be Saturday. There will be two $500 jackpots. All games will pay $100 and could possibly pay more based on attendance. There will be other drawings throughout the night. Food will be available. A special game will be played for valentines and several door prizes will be given away.
