CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. — Peter Möller Daniels, age 72, of Chambersburg, passed away Jan. 30, 2011, at his home.

He was born March 25, 1938, in Hagerstown, Md., to Martha Möller and Wilson Riley Daniels II. He was married to Judith McCurdy Daniels in 1985.  

He was a graduate of Mercersburg Academy and attended Washington and Lee University. Peter had worked for M.P. Möller Pipe Organ Co. in Hagerstown, serving in production and sales and ending as the president of the company before moving to the west coast in 1986. He had 38 years of experience in the pipe organ industry. He was treasurer of the Washington County Museum of Fine Arts in Hagerstown. He was a life member of American Guild of Organists and the American Institute of Organ Builders. For many years, he was involved with many civic organizations in both Chambersburg and Hagerstown. He was currently a member of the Franklin/Fulton County Drug and Alcohol Advisory Board, and a member of the board of Directors for Mental Health of Franklin and Fulton Counties.

Peter is survived by his wife, Judith McCurdy Daniels of Chambersburg, and their four children, Georgia Sanz Daniels of Tacoma, Wash., Peter Möller Daniels Jr. of Crested Butte, Colo., stepson Scott J. Redmond of Paisley, Fla., and stepdaughter, Sharon J. Redmond of Chambersburg. He is also survived by seven nephews, Wilson Riley Daniels IV of Strafford, Mo., Thomas B. Daniels of Amherst, Mass., Jonathan M. Daniels of Morristown, N.J., William F. Daniels of Sherman, Texas, James C. Daniels of Grapevine, Texas, Peter F. Daniels of N. Richland Hills, Texas, and Mathias Christian Daniels of Rocklin, Calif.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Hannah Hamilton Daniels, and a brother, Wilson Riley Daniels III.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 5, 2011, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 26 W. Commerce St., Chambersburg, with the Rev. Tara Magoon officiating.

The family will receive friends Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour before the service at the church.
