Hagerstown, Md. — Charles Grant Tedrick Jr., 70, of Hagerstown, Md., departed this life on Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2011, and entered his eternal home in heaven.

Born March 1, 1940, in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late Charles Grant Tedrick Sr. and Anna "Hull" Tedrick.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Cuban missle crisis.  

He was a 1958 graduate of Clear Spring High School and worked for Ellsworth Electric as an electrician for more than 25 years.

He was a member of New Hope Alliance Church in Williamsport, Md.  

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Patsy Ann "Baker" Tedrick of Hagerstown; two daughters, Pamela Smith and husband, Tim, of Hagerstown, and Andrea Ebersol and husband, Amos, of Lancaster, Pa.; a son, Andrew Tedrick and wife, Shari, of Clear Spring; a sister, Mary Haines and husband, Guy Sr., of Clear Spring; five grandchildren, Christopher Charles Smith, Timothy Aaron Smith, Carrie LeAnn Smith, Grace Louise Tedrick, and Abigail Faith Tedrick; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held on Saturday, Feb. 5, 2011, at 2 p.m. at Mountain View Baptist Church, 12107 Walnut Point Road, Hagerstown. The Rev. Robert Stroud will officiate. Burial will be in Shanktown Cemetery in Big Pool, with military honors by the Tri-State Honor Guard.

The family will receive friends Friday evening from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Donald Edwin Thompson Funeral Home Inc., 13607 National Pike, Clear Spring, Md. For the convenience of friends, you may visit the funeral home after noon.
