Fundraising run will pass through Hagerstown

WASHINGTON, D.C. — To raise funds for and awareness of global hunger, Joseph Henry plans to run more than 500 miles.

Henry and his team plan to run more than 30 miles per day for 17 consecutive days from Feb. 9 through 25. His route from Washington to Guelph, Ontario, Canada, will pass through Hagerstown. He will run from Frederick, Md., to Hagerstown on U.S. 40, pass through Public Square, then run north on Pennsylvania Avenue. The team invites area runners to raise money and run with them.

Henry’s goal is to raise $100,000 to donate to the United Nations World Food Program and World Food Program USA.
