Barbara Ann Davis, 71, of Hagerstown, Md., died Monday, Jan. 31, 2011, at Meritus Medical Center near Hagerstown.

She resided at Autumn Assisted Living Center, Hagerstown, for the past seven years, where she was loved by staff and friends.

Born July 19, 1939, in Washington, D.C., she was the daughter of the late George Warden and Alice (Neale) Davis.

Barbara graduated from the Emerson Institute and later attended Franklin University, both in Washington, D.C.

Barbara was a lifetime antiques dealer in Newark, Md., where she owned the Whistle Stop Antique Shop.

She was preceded in death by one brother, William Davis.

The funeral service will be at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 3, 2011, at Gerald N. Minnich Funeral Home, 305 N. Potomac St., Hagerstown. The Rev. J. Collin Poston will officiate. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family, in Fort Lincoln Cemetery, Bladensburg, Md.

The visitation will be from 2 to 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 3, 2011, at the funeral home.

The Gerald N. Minnich Funeral Home, Bryan K. Kenworthy P.A., 305, N. Potomac St., Hagerstown, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
