Board retreat rescheduled
A Washington County Board of Education retreat scheduled for Tuesday afternoon was postponed after the facilitator slipped on some ice, Board President Wayne Ridenour said.
The retreat, which will be closed to the public, has tentatively been rescheduled for Feb. 15, Ridenour said.
During Tuesday's board business meeting, student board member Steven Wang said he hoped the board would invite him to the retreat, allowing him to at least attend part of it.
Ridenour has said board members will discuss board operating procedures at the retreat. They will talk about how they are going to deal with each other and function as a board.
The Washington County Board of Education's meet-and-greet with the public on Feb. 8 will be held in the cafeteria at Washington County Technical High School, Board President Wayne Ridenour said Tuesday.
The meeting will be held from 6 to 8 p.m.
