Conococheague Little League plans registration

Registration for youth interested in playing T-ball through senior level baseball at Conococheague Little League will be held at Town Hall, second floor, on Thursday and Friday, Feb. 10 and 11, from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, Feb. 12, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Birth certificate and proof of residency are required.

Environmental community forum moved to new site

The community forum scheduled for Thursday will now be held at the Williamsport Memorial Library, beginning at 6:30 p.m.

The latest environmental impact from the R. Paul Smith Power Plant will be discussed by Chesapeake Climate Action Network, Environmental Integrity Project, Sierra Club and Clean Water Action.

The public is invited to attend.

Registration to be held for girls softball league

The Washington County Girls Softball League is gearing up for the 2011 season. The league will hold registration Saturday and Saturday, Feb. 19, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.; and Sunday, Feb. 20, from noon to 5 p.m. at Dick's Sporting Goods, 17780 Garland Groh Blvd.in Hagerstown.

League officials will be at Extra Innings, 16038 Business Parkway, Hagerstown, on Friday, Feb. 25, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.; and Saturdays, Feb. 12 and 26, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.; and Sunday, Feb. 27, from noon to 5 p.m.

Rotary Club to hold bonanza on Saturday

Williamsport Rotary Club will hold a bonanza Saturday at Williamsport Fire Hall beginning at 6 p.m.

Tickets cost $35 per couple and include meal and beverages by Leiter's Fine Catering. Final drawing is $1,000 with a drawing every 10th ticket for $35.

To purchase tickets, call 301-223-6445 or see any Rotary member. Proceeds fund two high school scholarships and send youth to a leadership training program during the summer.

Williamsport Food Bank in need of donations

The Williamsport Food Bank is in urgent need of food.

 Items can be dropped off at Zion Lutheran Church, 35 W. Potomac St. in Williamsport. Monetary donations are also accepted.

Angel Food ordering set

Angel Food orders will be taken Thursday, Feb. 10, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, Feb. 12, from noon to 1:30 p.m. at Rehoboth United Methodist Church, 30 E. Salisbury St., in the Fellowship Hall.

 Walnut Towers residents order Wednesday, Feb. 9, from 3 to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday, Feb. 12, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

 Potomac Towers residents order Wednesday, Feb. 9, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. and Saturday, Feb. 12, from 9 to 10:30 a.m.

 Payment is made at the time of ordering.
