Deputies investigate local home invasion
Two teenage males were taken into custody for questioning by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office in regard to a home invasion that occurred Friday afternoon near Hagerstown’s North End, according to a police news release.

Deputies responded to a robbery in progress at 5:05 p.m. Friday at 408 Chartridge Drive, police said.

Three juvenile males living at the residence reported that four teenage males entered the residence wearing ski masks, police said. One of the suspects forced one of the teenage residents against a wall when the teenage residents were discovered in the home, police said.

Then the suspects fled, police said.

Boy, 4, hurt in crash
MERCERSBURG, Pa. — A 4-year-old boy was injured in a car accident Friday at the intersection of Pa. 416 and Pa. 75 in Peters Township, Pennsylvania State Police said in a news release.

The boy was taken to Chambersburg Hospital accompanied by the adult driver of the vehicle in which he was riding, police said.

Police said two vehicles collided head-on at the intersection. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.

Police did not release the names of those involved.
