Bella Salon and Spa

January 28, 2011|By HARRY NOGLE

Hairstylists not only care about the health and growth of a customer’s hair. They also make the customer feel good about themselves when they sit in the chair and when they leave.

Customers want to feel pampered, relaxed and welcome, and they want to be serviced quickly and efficiently. They get these services at Bella Salon.

“Our customers feel satisfied because they know they are being serviced by someone who is educated,” said

Bella Salon and Spa stylist and color specialist Renee Doub. Renee has also been the education and training director of Bella Salon and Spa for 10 years.  “Our clients know we will respond to their needs,” she said.

Bella Salon and Spa is a full-service salon and spa that offers customers traditional salon services such as haircuts (women’s, men’s and children’s), styling, conditioning and clarifying, coloring, foiling, waving and straightening. Bella Salon also offers makeup application and lessons.

Customers can receive manicures at the Balla Spa. Nail technicians Susan Harsh and Dixie Grimm provide classic, spa, French and stone manicures (and gentlemen’s MAN-icures, too!).

Bella Spa also can provide customers with pedicures. Mini, classic, spa and stone pedicures are options available. Customers might also want to try hand and foot paraffin treatments, rejuvenating serums, hand scrubs and nail art. CND Shellac is now available.

Esthetician Melinda Pike offers waxing services at Bella Spa (lockers are available upon request). Customers may want to try Sugaring, a sweet, virtually pain-free alternative to waxing.

Melinda provides skin care treatments: facials, waxings and eyelash extensions.

Melinda will provide clients with Targeted Exfoliating Treatments, Problem Solving Treatments and Anti-Aging Treatments. Men and children can also receive skin treatments and facials!

Melinda can give customers “Nova Lash” eyelash extensions, a totally new way to extend the length and thickness of eyelashes. Melinda can tint eyelashes and eyebrows.

Registered Massage Practitioner Kristine Newcomer will provide clients with massages to treat any situation, from Swedish massages to specialty deep-tissue and hot-stone massages.

“Swedish massages provide relaxation,” Kristine said. “Deep-tissue massages target problem areas and give stress relief,” she said. “We customize massages to a customer’s needs.”

Kristine also gives cold-stone massages for migraine relief.

Expectant mothers may want to try a prenatal massage. Prenatal massages relax muscles and ligaments and can make childbirth easier, Kristine said.

Customers of Bella Salon and Sp can find Redken and Pureology hair-care products and a full line of Mirabella makeup.

Karen Nave is a Redken Artist.  Jessica Panda is a makeup artist and educator for Mirabella Cosmetics.

Bioelement skin-care products and nail polishes are available, as well as Body Drench lotions.

Clients also can purchase curling and straightening irons and hair dryers.

Bella Salon and Spa is a teaching salon and offers an apprenticeship program.

Bella Salon is open Tuesday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Bella Salon is located at 1691 Langley Drive, Hagerstown, just off Edgewood Drive. Call 301-665-1060 or visit www.bellasalonandspa.net.
