TOPS 0462

Smithsburg TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) Chapter 0462 had its first no-gain meeting for the year.

Sally was this week's thinner winner with a 1.5-pound loss. Susan was the week's thinner winner runner-up with a 1.25-pound loss.

John opened the meeting with news of a TOPS men's retreat in September that will be held near Pittsburgh, Pa. He also reminded the chapter about the women's retreat in September in Sharpsburg. To send members to these retreats, the chapter needs to be thinking of some fundraising ideas.

The chapter meets Thursdays at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 51 N. Main St. in Smithsburg. Weigh-in is at 5:30 p.m. and the meeting is from 6 to 7 p.m.

For more information, call Ola at 301-824-7650, or John at 717-749-3023, or go to www.tops.org.
