BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. — Robert D. Percy, 86, of Berkeley Springs, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, Jan. 20, 2011, at his home while surrounded by his family.

He was retired in 1981 from Mack Trucks in Hagerstown, Md., as a machinist.

He was a member of Victory Tabernacle, Hedgesville, W.Va.

He was known and loved by many and has touched many lives. He was a mighty man of God who loved unconditionally, as his Heavenly Father loved him.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, June Elaine Truax Percy; six children; 15 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

A service will be held Monday, Jan. 24, at 11 a.m. at the Victory Tabernacle, Hedgesville, W.Va. The Rev. Carl Clark will officiate. Burial will be in the May's Chapel Christian Cemetery, Warfordsburg, Pa.

The family will receive friends at the Grove Funeral Home, Hancock, Md., Sunday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and at the church on Monday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions may be made to Victory Tabernacle, 34 Victory Lane, Hedgesville, WV 25427 in his honor.
