Eat Well for Life programs

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — Eat Well for Life programs

The Eat Well for Life I and Eat Well for Life II classes are offered at WVUH-East, City Hospital and Jefferson Memorial campuses, through Mountain State Blue Cross Blue Shield. Participants will learn about the actions they need to take in order to make healthy lifestyle decisions that can result in weight management and decreased health risks.

Eat Well for Life I is a lifestyle improvement program promoting wellness and long-term weight management through increasing physical activity and healthy eating. Participants learn to make healthful food choices and are encouraged to adopt the nutrition practices needed to achieve a balanced lifestyle and long-term weight management.

Eat Well for Life II focuses on planning well-balanced meals, adopting mindful eating practices, increasing physical activity as well as making healthful eating choices when dining out.

Eat Well for Life is offered at 6 p.m. Mondays starting today and running through Feb. 14, at the McCormack Center on the campus of City Hospital, in Martinsburg, W.Va., or at noon Thursdays, Jan. 27 through March 3, in the Main Building of City Hospital or Wednesdays, March 2 through March 23, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Ranson, W.Va.

Eat Well for Life II will be offered at 6 p.m. Wednesdays, April 6 though May 4, at the McCormack Center on the campus of City Hospital.

There is a fee for nonMountain State members who sign up. There is no fee for Mountain State Blue Cross Blue Shield members to participate in the program.
