BOYS BASKETBALL

ELDERSBURG, Md. — Tyler Wise had a double-double with 20 points and 14 rebounds as Williamsport remained unbeaten with a 62-43 win over Liberty on Wednesday.

Connor Arnone added 14 points and Xavier Green and Ryan Butts each had nine for the Wildcats (11-0).

Simon Rudow had 12 points and Steve Seeley added 10 for the Lions (2-9).

Alec Wheeler had the hot hand beyond the arc, connecting on five 3-pointers en route to 19 points, and also added five steals for the Saints (7-4, 2-3), while Leonard Livingston had six blocks.

Berkeley Springs’ press overwhelmed St. Maria Goretti in the second quarter as the Indians remained undefeated with their 12th straight victory.

The Indians outscored the Gaels 15-5 in the second quarter and owned a 35-17 halftime lead.

Deidra Burch scored eight of her 19 points in the first quarter and Sarah Haynes had six of her 16 in the opening period as Berkeley Springs established the early lead.

Colleen Costello led the Gaels (9-7) with 26 points and 11 rebounds.
